Elizabeth and Hector had a picture perfect wedding! The weather was beautiful; not to hot and not too cold. Liz and I used to work together in Chicago so naturally I was happy to capture her wedding day. We started off the day at Liz's house grabbing shots of the girls getting ready and then headed out to St Casimir Church in Hammond for the ceremony. After that we were on our way to the Indiana Dunes State Park to grab shots on the beach before the reception at the newly renovated Dunes Pavilion! The pavilion was built in 1930, but had been neglected for many years. They just finished renovations this year and we were one of the first weddings to take place there. It is a beautiful venue and we got some amazing shots. There was a nice boardwalk going out on the sand so Liz could walk out on the beach in high heels without breaking an ankle. There are so many great spots for photos and video at this venue. The reception was on the second floor and it was very cosy for a night of partying. I always bring bright video lights to light up the reception hall for the introductions and first dances so the bride and groom can feel like movie stars. Everyone danced the night away and had a super fun time. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding day. Congratulations Elizabeth and Hector!
